Robert Arnold Townsend

Aiken---Mr. Robert Arnold Townsend, 73, husband of the late Margaret Burt Townsend, died Monday, November 25, at Mattie C. Hall Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held 2PM, Wednesday, November 27 at Aiken Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tony Garrett officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 26 form 7-9 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Townsend is a life long resident of Aiken, son of Arnold and Vera Lee Cook Townsend. He was a self employed handyman, and served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Townsend is survived by one son Arnold Burt Townsend of Aiken. The family wished that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Drawer K, Aiken, SC 29802.
