Robin Renee Herndon

PAULINE, SC – Robin Renee Herndon, age 49, passed away April 21, 2022. Ms. Herndon was born in Clarksdale Mississippi to parents Diane and Gary Herndon. She graduated from Delta State University in Cleveland Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She devoted nearly 15 years of her life to serving the State of South Carolina and local law enforcement. Robin devoted her life to helping others.

As in her career, Robin was a devoted mother. She worked hard to provide care and support to her friends and family. She instilled in her daughter, a sense of responsibility and care for those around her. She will be missed by friends and family alike.

In addition to her parents, Diane & Gary Herndon, Robin is survived by her daughter, Kayla Newton, her sister Kelley (Paul) Brown, two nephews Conor and Casen Brown, partner Jason Brown, and her life-long friend, Traci Herndon.

Ms. Herndon died in her home in Spartanburg South Carolina after a short illness. She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, Jean and Laten Herndon, Herman and Ruth Morganti, and June Wilson.

A memorial service will be hosted on April 28th at 1:00 PM in The George Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rudy Gwaltney officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cumbee Center for Abused Women in Aiken, SC, a cause that was very important to Robin.
