Roy Sapough

Funeral services for Roy Sumner Sapough, Sr, 87, of Aiken, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Chapel of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 211 Park Ave, SW Aiken with Rev. Bill Howard officiating. Interment, with military honors will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10am until the time of the service. Mr. Sapough, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. Born in Rock Hill, he was a son of the late Barney and Hattie Dillingham Sapough. He was retired from Du Pont and a member of Millbrook Baptist Church. After retirement, Mr. Sapough enjoyed farming and working with his grape vineyard. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janie L. Sapugh, two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Wise Sapough; a daughter, Hilda Ritch Roger of Aiken; sons, Roy Sapough, Jr Bonne of Barnwell and Dean Sapough Denise of Rock Hill; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
