Ruby Towery

Mrs. Ruby Lee Towery, 82, wife of the late Everett Towery, died Sunday, September 28, 2003 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Funeral services will be held 11:30AM, Wednesday at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel with Rev. Jack Hasty officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 6-8PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be nephews. Interment: Aiken Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Towery was born in Rutherfordton County, NC to the late Virgil and Ina Rollins and was predeceased by a brother, Earl Rollins. She moved to Aiken in 1952 from Shelby, NC and was a member of First Baptist Church of Aiken. She retired from Belk Department Stores after 13 years.

She is survived by her son, Everett Daniel Towery, Aiken, sisters Pat Brackett, Polkville, NC, Marina Smith, Forest City, NC and brother Clell Rollins, Chester, SC.
