Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Ferguson will take place on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 10am at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Pastor Donnie Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, 6-8pm. Mrs. Ferguson, 95, of Aiken, SC died Saturday, September 3, 2011 at her residence. A daughter of the late Frederick Gangel and Bertha May Holtizer, Ruth was born in North Pelham, NY and had lived in Aiken since 1977. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Ladies of The Nobles at the Aiken County Shrine Club.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James E. Ferguson, who died in 1993.

She is survived by two sons, James of Syosset, NY and Richard of Edgewater, MD and two daughters, Yolanda and Ruthmay, both of Aiken. She is also survived by two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
