Ruth Esta Kaestner

Memorial services for Mrs. Ruth Esta Kaestner will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 2pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Mrs. Kaestner, 94, of Aiken, died August 2, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in Glendale, OH, she was the daughter of the late John and Stella Letzler Mueller.

She lived in various cities before moving to Aiken in 2002. As a teenager, Ruth helped with sending out the manual "Discipleship" and served a number of years as the Forward Movement's Able office and Business Manager in charge of all orders, accounts, billing, inventory, and direct shipping. Ruth loved to design clothes, cook and entertain. Here favorite past time was ballroom dancing where she was on TV and won several awards.

She is survived by her husband, Erwin Kaestner, son Ronald Lucia Edward Kaestner, Charlottesville, VA, sister, Mary Darovec, Hamilton, OH, and niece, Mary Lou Tim Golding.
