January 15, 1911 marked the arrival of a feisty girl now named Ruth Milks. For 67 years, she went to school, worked, married, raised two children, volunteered and lived most of her life in Buffalo, NY and then Dunwoody, GA.
Ruth, the lone survivor among her siblings, lost her husband Richard in 1981 and a son Roger, in 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Tisdale, Aiken; grandson, Andy and Erica Tisdale, Aiken; daughter in law, Laurie Milks and granddaughter Jody and Todd Miller. There is another generation now, too: four great grandchildren, Adam, Zachary, Sara, and the youngest, five year-old Waylon
When asked about a philosophy of life, she just "kept going" and enjoys life, extending a cheerful personal style, piercing eyes, and a good, hearty laugh.
