Ruth A. Paxton

A Requiem Mass of Mrs. Ruth Ann Paxton, will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Paxton, 87, of Aiken, passed away at home on Monday, January 26, 2015, where she wanted to be with her husband. A native of Illinois, she married Lester Paxton on October 15, 1993 for which was the love of her life. Mrs. Paxton was a dance caller and taught line dancing for many years. Ruth loved her calling, teaching and husband. If more people were like Ruth, there would be more birds singing, more flowers blooming, more hugs happening, more kind words spoken and more reasons to celebrate each day. She was preceded in death by 2 sons and 15 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her loving husband, Lester Paxton of Aiken; a daughter, Ruth Ann Wolfe of Williamsfield, Illinois; a son, Paul Helmig of N. Pekin, Illinois; a sister, a brother and 5 grandchildren.
