Ruth Marion Barratt Smith

A memorial service for Mrs. Ruth Marion Barratt Smith will be held Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 2 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Pastor Richard Swift officiating.

Mrs. Smith, 70, of Aiken, SC, died Wednesday, afternoon, February 18, 2004 at her home.

Born Weymouth, England, she had been a resident of Aiken, SC, since 1988. She was a member of the Church of England and had formerly been a Cashier for Winn-Dixie.

Sons, Stephen and Michael Smith, both of Aiken, SC; sister, Gladys Whitten, England; and two grandchildren, Michael Smith, Jr. and Jennifer Smith, and a niece, Patricia Burke, NJ, survive. A son, David C. Smith, preceded her in death in 1995.
