Sally Large Colatarci, beloved wife of Michael Joseph Colatarci, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the age of 79 at her residence in the Woodside Plantation Community that she called home.
Born on Saturday, August 18, 1945, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Sally was the beloved daughter of the late Ashley Ray Large and Therese Vernon Large.
Sally dedicated her life to the service of others as a registered nurse. Her nurturing spirit and compassionate care touched the lives of many throughout her career. Her commitment to the well-being of her patients was unparalleled, leaving a legacy of kindness and empathy that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Educated in the field of nursing, Sally's expertise and dedication set a high standard in her profession. She was known for her unwavering professionalism and her ability to offer comfort and solace to all those in her care.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 58 years are 2 sons, Robert & Meghan Colatarci of Gillette, NJ and Joseph & Kristina Colatarci of Holly Springs, GA; 1 daughter, Maria Colatarci of Aiken; 3 brothers, David & Joanne Large, Hillside, NJ, William Large of Portland, OR & James & Dina Large of South Brunswick, NJ; 2 sister, Mary & Stuart Gelb of Denver, CO & Ann Hopkins of Salt Lake City, Utah; and 3 grandchildren, Ashley Colatarci, Lauren Colatarci & Marissa Colatarci
She was a parishioner of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Aiken.
Though she has departed from this world, Sally leaves behind memories filled with warmth and love that will continue to inspire her family, friends, and the countless individuals she helped during her career.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11:00am at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, 125 Park Ave SE, Aiken, SC 29801.
Final Rites and Commendations will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 3:00pm at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
