Sally D Loomis

Sally D. Loomis, 94, of Columbia, SC passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. She was born August 20, 1929 in Williamson, WV to her parents Whitney and Ruby Damron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Loomis; daughter Sheila Nabil; and first husband Calvin P. Wright.

She is survived by her daughters: Susan Loomis of Yuba City, CA; Cindy Kern (Linwood) of Richmond, VA; Sally Ann Hawkins (Gary) of Christiansburg, VA; Becky Rhodes (Mike) of Washington, GA; Lauren Wright (Bob) of Covington, VA; and Ginny Scheele (Walt) of Chapin, SC; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Sally and George enjoyed the east coast so much that they migrated south from Covington, VA to New Bern, NC; Morehead City, NC; and finally to Aiken, SC. She loved the Atlanta Braves, many friends, and especially her family.

Memorial services will be held at St. Thaddeus Church on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 11:00am.
