Scott Maness Petry

AIKEN, SC- Scott Maness Petry went to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 12, 2015.

She was born in Sylacauga, Alabama on March 9, 1926. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Stan. She is survived by her son, Barry Fletcher and his fiancée, Dee Tice and her daughter, Sheila Worley and her husband, Don. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Bryan and his wife, Ashley Worley and Darin Worley. . She had two bonus families, Ellen and Mark Farrar and their four children as well as Eric and Angela Petry with their four children.

Scott retired in 1987 from E I DuPont Savannah River Plant after 35 years of service. She enjoyed cooking and traveling as well as reading. She loved big band music and dancing. She was a wonderful wife and mother. Her gentle spirit, awesome sense of humor and infectious smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held this Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 12 PM in the George Funeral Chapel. The Reverend Doctor Henry Chennault will officiate. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Langley, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
