Shirley Carver Young

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Carver Young will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2005 at 2pm at George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave. SW with Rev. Dwyane Anderson officiating. Pallbearers will be Carl Carver, Mike Carver, Randy Carver, Bobby Griffin, Ben Taylor & Fred Campbell. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Young, 63, of Aiken, died Thursday, September 8, 2005 at University Hospital in Augusta. A daughter of the late Roy & Beatrice Robertson Carver, she was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her husband and children.

She is pre-deceased by three brothers; Eugene, Carl & LeRoy Carver and her husband, Wilson H. Young, who died on March 22, 2005. Mrs. Young is survived by three children; Russell Wilson ?Rusty? Young, Aiken, Cynthia B. Scott, Aiken and Debra A. Walker, Wagener. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Christopher Scott, Jason Walker, Daniel Scott, Ashley Young & Adam Young and one, great granddaughter; McKenzie Graham.

Memorial donations may be directed to the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Foundation.
