Stephen Clayton Upchurch

Mr. Stephen Clayton Upchurch, 53, husband of Susan E. Geddings Upchurch, died Thursday, September 25, 2003 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday at the home, from 2-4 p.m.

Steve was born in Georgia, and moved to Aiken in April from Columbia. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Ruth Upchurch. He loved the beach, history, and playing golf and tennis. He was dearly loved and will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife, stepson, Bryant Geddings Parker; aunt, Gene Wood, of Georgia; uncle, Rayford Stephens, of Florida; and close friends, Marion J. and Bill P., both of Columbia.

The family wishes that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
