AIKEN, SC – Steve Allen Whitley, 60, of Aiken, passed away January 12, 2021 after a brief illness.
Born March 16, 1960 in Munich, Germany, he was the son of Hildegard Engelhardt Whitley and the late Billy Joe Whitley.
He was born in Germany and moved all over with his family while his dad was in the Army. He made Aiken his home more than 40 years ago. He became a police officer with the Augusta Police Department and worked there for a number of years. He then went on to become a general contractor, where he owned his own company.
From climbing mountains to jumping off of buildings, Steve was fearless. One of his favorite past times was dirt bike racing. He just loved life!
He will be dearly missed by his mother; his fiancé, Dana L. Eiser; his step-children, Alyssa Eiser and Bryant Eiser (Beth); his brother, Larry Whitley; and his grandson on the way.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 12Pm – 1PM at The George Funeral Chapel, 211 Park Ave. SW, Aiken, SC 29801.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 1PM in The George Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville.
