Steven Scott Hope

Funeral services for Steven Scott Hope, Sr. will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 3pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Rev. C. B. Love, Jr. officiating. Pallbearers will be Elizabeth Prater, Annette Aspinwall, Debra Barnes, Richard Barnes, Otto Frie, Donald Love and Jordan Tarrant. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1pm until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one?s choice.

Steven, 44, of Aiken, died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at his residence. A son of Edward L. ?Pete? and Patsy Ogg Hope, of Aiken, he was born in Ft. Meade, MD and had lived in Aiken since 1962.

He was employed at BAE Systems, formerly United Defense, Aiken. Steve loved collecting antiques and Coca Cola memorabilia. He was always so proud of his newest finds, but his proudest moment was when he became a dad.

He leaves with wonderful memories and broken hearts. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Steven Scott Hope, Jr., Aiken, three sisters, Debra Richard Barnes, Aiken, Annette Aspinwall, Aiken and Elizabeth Prater and her fiancé, Donald Love, N. Augusta. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who loved him and will always miss their ?Bubba?.
