Ursula Gabard

February 8, 1947 — August 3, 2021

JACKSON, SC – Ursula Gabard, age 74, entered into rest Tuesday, August 3, 2021.

Mrs. Gabard was born February 8, 1947 in Mannheim, Germany to the late Friedrich Klepsch and Ingeborg Achstätter. She immigrated to the United States on September 7, 1977. She had been an area resident for the past thirty years and worked as a CNA for thirty years. She loved Elvis, traveling, shopping, crossword puzzles, reading German magazines, cooking, and spending time with family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Homer; sister and brother-in-law, Roswitha & Klaus Kurz; brother-in-law, Robert Chevalard; and nephew Robert Chevalard Jr.

Survivors include two daughters, Astrid Klepsch and Manuela Bell; a grandson, Stefan Klepsch; her sister Karin Chevalard; her brother Kurt Klepsch (Silvia); goddaughter and niece, Nanette Chevalard; and remaining family members in Germany: Caprice, Chantal, Nathalie, Ramona, and Rebecca.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, August 8, 2021, in The George Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
