Aiken. Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia M. Noisworthy will be private and under the direction of George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken, SC. Memorial donations can be directed to the ASPCA 401 Wire Rd. Aiken, SC 29801. Mrs. Noisworthy, 88, of Aiken, died Friday at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Paragould, AK, she was the only child of Ira M & Roche Lemons and the late Howard McDonald. She had lived most of her life in Memphis, TN and had moved to Aiken in 1993. She was a graduate of Paragould High School and was very active as a volunteer for the ASPCA. Virginia loved to grow roses and was an avid reader. Her husband, R.O. Noisworthy died in 1994. She is survived by two sons- Col. James Hunn, U.S. Army ret, Mountain Home, AK and Pat Noisworthy, Aiken, SC, a daughter; Marthanne Calvi, Baton Rouge, LA, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
