Funeral services for Mr. Walter Lee Mercer will be private. Mr. Mercer, 61, of Jackson, SC, son of the late Walter Lee Mercer, Jr. and the late Cynthia Mercer, died Friday, morning, April 30, 3004 at his home.

Born in Augusta, GA and a lifelong resident of Jackson, SC, he was a retired painter. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

A son, Craig Mercer, Augusta, GA; daughter, Cindy Mercer, Stapleton, GA; and sisters, Carolyn Deas, Augusta, GA and Linda Tate, Columbia, SC, survive.
