Wesley William Poe

Funeral services for Mr. Wesley William Poe will be held Sunday, December 5, 2004 at 2 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church, New Ellenton, SC, with Pastor Randy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers wil be Ed Erjavec, Jimmy Goldman, Mark Brodie, Kris Krisner, Miles Williams, and Larry Dennis. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 4, 2004 from 6 until 8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC.

Mr. Poe, 50, of Aiken, SC, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004.

Born in and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life, he was a son of the late Joseph William ?Joe? Poe, Jr. and the late Jewell Phillips Poe. Wesley was a self-employed painter and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, New Ellenton, SC.

Daughters, Alison Melissa and Amanda Nicole Poe, both of Raleigh, NC; sister, Sheila Poe Carter and her husband, Rick, Aiken, SC; brother, Vaughn Poe and his wife Mary, Houston, TX; and ex-wife, Sharon Brodie, Raleigh, NC, survive.
