William Edward Dalton

A Requiem Mass for Mr. William "Bill" Edward Dalton will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Dalton, 81, of Aiken passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

A son of the late William Edward & Mary Corrigan Dalton, he was born in Mechanicville, NY. A US Navy Veteran and a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Mr. Dalton had an accomplished & successful career as VP of Engineering for several major air condition manufacturers and held the position as Chairman of the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association. Bill always faced life with great faith and courage and was a loving husband to Meg and father to Tim, Beth, Amy and Meggin.

Survivors include his wife, Meg O'Brien Dalton of Aiken; a son, Tim Dalton of Evans, Georgia; daughters, Beth Birdwell (Steve) of Hilton Head, Amy Manning (Scott) of Franklin, TN and Meggin Bilyeu of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Katie, Kelly & Michael Dalton, Maggie, Matthew & Caroline Manning, Kyle & Morgan Bilyeu.
