William Joseph Kerrigan

AIKEN, SC—William Joseph Kerrigan, age 87, entered into rest Sunday, April 22, 2018 at his residence.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late William Francis Kerrigan and Kathyrn Kerrigan. Mr. Kerrigan graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Chemistry and was retired from the Savannah River Site with 45 years of service. He loved golfing and will be remembered for his sense of humor (Sweet Ole Bill) and his compassion and guidance he provided to others.

Survivors include a sister, Joan Francis; his children, William D. Kerrigan (Bill), Timothy P. Kerrigan (Tim), and Maureen K. Murray (Mo); three step children, Millage Day, Johnny Day, and Jennifer Meyer; seven grandchildren, Katelyn Jordan (Kirk Jordan), April Seigler (Kenneth Seigler), Shannon Elliott (John Russell Elliott), Tyler Kerrigan, Colin Kerrigan, Shane Murray, and Hannah Kerrigan; eight great-grandchildren, Curt Jordan, Nathaniel Jordan, Natalie Jordan, Samantha Seigler, Kenneth Seigler III, Erik Rogers, John Russell (JR) Elliott and Kerrigan Claire Elliott.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at George Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service in the George Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM. Pastor Ken McDonald will officiate.
