William Arthur Mackay

William Arthur MacKay, age 80, of Aiken, SC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024.

He was born on June 17th, 1943 in Queens, NY to the late Richard Traube MacKay and Muriel Helene MacKay. William was a successful real estate developer and was known for his passion for golf and showing dogs in the American Kennel Club. He had the top show dogs in the country for many years and also had a love for show horses, developing the Fox Hollow Equestrian Community.

He is survived by his loving wife Brenda MacKay of Aiken, SC; 7 daughters, Kimberly (Clark) Williard of Ringoes, NJ, Renata MacKay of Lambertville, NJ, Samantha (John) Knieser of Belle Mead, NJ, Rory (Aaron) Philipson of Southampton, PA, Regan (Brewer) Lister of Hummelstown, PA, Cynthia (Eric) Goldsborough of Medina, WA, Cornelia (Gil) Royal, Charlotte, NC; 2 sons, Scott (Lindsley) MacKay of Aiken and Wesley (Clara) Belden of Nashville, TN; 16 grandchildren and his faithful dog Tucker.

Private service may be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local ASPCA chapter.
