William Billy'' Glenn Silas

Funeral services for William ?Billy? Glenn Silas will be held on Friday July 9, 2004 at 1:30pm at Fairview Presbyterian Church, North Augusta with Rev. Robert Fuller, Jr. & Rev. Marion Britton officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery, Aiken. The visitation will be this evening, from 6-8pm at George Funeral Homes Historic Chapel 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Memorial donations may be directed to the building funds of Fairview Presbyterian Church or Lighthouse Baptist Church, Aiken.

Mr. Silas, 31, of North Augusta, died Tuesday at Windermere Nursing Home, Augusta, GA as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on October 24, 1998 on Aiken-Augusta Highway in Burnettown. He was born in Aiken and had lived in the area his entire life. Billy was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church and was a member of the church softball team. He was a self-employed contractor, having built several area homes from the ground up. He was a loving son, husband and father.

He is survived by his wife, Holly Fleming Silas, North Augusta, a daughter, Hannah Fleming, North Augusta, his mother Geraldine Silas, Aiken, two brothers; Cornell Renew, Aiken and Gene Silas, Keedysville, MD and a sister; Renee Durden, North Augusta.
