Willie Marie Boatwright

Mrs. Willie Marie Boatwright, 77, wife of the late Blanding Boatwright, died Monday, April 14, 2003 at Mattie C. Hall. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Thursday, April 17, 2003 at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel with Rev. Jim Kirk officiating. Visitation will be held tonight form 6-8PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Rodney Boatwright, Bruce Boatwright, Wallace Boatwright, Dean Boatwright, Anthony Boatwright and Don Courtney. Burial will be at Aiken Memorial Gardens. A native, and life long resident of Aiken, Mrs. Boatwright was the daughter to the late Jerome Courtney and Mae Courtney Ready. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, Aiken, and was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Tuck Poston, Aiken, daughter, Janet Faucett, Aiken, brother, Henry Courtney, Aiken, granddaughters, Laura Thomas, Amanda Poston, Megan Faucett, and one great grandson, Sam Thomas. The family wishes that memorials be made to Memorial Baptist Church, 3100 Vaucluse Rd., Aiken, SC 29801.
