Loy Webster Filmon Jr.

AIKEN, SC – Loy Webster Filmon Jr., age 92, passed away peacefully March 10, 2024.

Mr. Filmon was born December 28, 1931, in Tampa, FL to the late Loy Webb Fillmon and the late Louise Fillmon. Mr. Filmon worked at SRS from 1952 until 1998. He proudly served his country in the U.S.A.F. and was a Korean War Veteran. He and his wife traveled extensively across the entire US, with multiple visits to Alaska and Hawaii, as well as numerous cruises.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Doris Duncan Filmon. He is survived by two sons, Loy Wayne Filmon (Erica Ange) and Jeffery Glenn Filmon; five grandchildren, Jennifer Nicole Filmon, Joshua Eli Johnson, Kristy Lynn Rowe, Katherine Elizabeth Massotti, and Brett Shannon Ross; twelve greatgrandchildren; and a brother, John W. Filmon.

A memorial service will be held 4/6/2024 at 1 p.m. at The First Baptist Church, Aiken, SC.
