Obituary of Priscilla Amanda Memminger

Priscilla Amanda Memminger, born on February 3, 1929 to the late Lucy Mae Stewart and Freddie Stewart, in Augusta Georgia, She was the 3rd child of 5 born to this union.

 

Priscilla, at the age of 3, relocated to New York City where she later met and married the late Timothy Levi Memminger. To this union she gave birth to 6 children. Priscilla worked at Sheldon R. Weaver Daycare Center until her retirement many years later.

 

After her age advanced, Priscilla, relocated to the state of South Carolina, where she lived with her son and daughter-in-law. During this time, she enjoyed going outside viewing the wonders of nature for long periods of time and enjoyed reminiscing her life’s journeys. After several months, Priscilla’s illness began progressing. She fought a phenomenal fight to live. Those who knew her knew of her strong and determined will! Priscilla’s character spoke for itself. On March 17, 2024 she succumbed and fell asleep in death.

 

Priscilla, was preceded in death by 4 siblings Charles Stewart, Viola Weeks, Martha Sanders and Raymond Jones. 3 Children, Elaine Elliot, Sandra Dent and Joyce Francis as well as 2 Grandchildren.

 

Priscilla leaves to mourn 3 Children, Jalal Naafi (Far Rockaway, NY) Nathaniel Memminger, (Beech Island, S. C.) and Kenneth Memminger (Brooklyn, NY). Two Sons- in-law, Joe Elliot (Tennessee), Donald Francis (Foote) (Far Rockaway, NY) Two Daughters-in-Law Virginia Memminger (Beech Island, S.C) and Lorraine Memminger (Brooklyn, NY). 33 Grandchildren, a host of Great GrandChildren as well as Great Great Grandchildren. A host of Nieces, Nephews as well as close friends.

 

After a long life she will now sleep until the promised resurrection found at Acts 24:15 and John 5:28-29
